10 Albums that changed my life

Grand Prix by Teenage Fanclub

My second choice. I grew up musically in the 80’s and loved so much of the noises that hit me. It was a decade of eclectic mix, of tastes and sounds to enrapture and dance to. And yet I was desperate for the 90’s and the scene that brought pounding dance, layback chill and full on Indy to the fore.

Teenage Fanclub released their masterstroke in 1995 and once I heard it I was dazzled. Tunes to die for and harmonies to rip the emotions to shreds washed over me with effortless calm.

I adore this record utterly. It’s my favourite girlfriend.
