One Love

One Love

It’s hard to know how to comment on lives of innocents in our own backyard being slaughtered or maimed by morons intent on destruction. I note so many people calling them things like terroists but I wouldn’t grant them that title. Morons will do just fine. People have been slaughtered the world over and the centuries over just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time and still morons think to right this by ‘retaliation’ against other innocents.

Breaks my heart.

Manchester’s concert last night was an act of defiance. The stories behind the London attacks of incredible heroism just made me feel in awe at humanity.

So to all you morons who want to be involved in these acts know this – humanity rose to your cruelty with beauty and bravery that surpassed your evil.

For our Government there is no doubt that our country craves a response that leads this country as a whole to a long lasting response. Multi faith and multi cultures is brilliant for us. Letting people though fight against our values is not for us.

Peace, love and clear direction to safer streets for us all,

Libraries stocking up OAH + TBG

Libraries stocking up OAH + TBG

Well if turns out that a few British libraries have kindly been taking in both ‘On Ashover Hill’ and ‘The Birthday Gift!’ You can now go in your local library & technically they should find them on their system & be able to get them sent through. Better still they could get one or both in for that library.

I know, isn’t it great!

So, if you’re passing, spread the word.

Nudist beaches

Nudist beaches

Sanity is everything and walking past a nudist beach the other day full of chaps reminded me that taking life in all its ups and downs gives you balance.

We looked down at them as we walked around the back of the beach from a high up vantage point and saw many in affable conversation. About what we can only surmise but I suspect the normal topics were there such as football, politics, stocks, weather and those pesky Eeeeengleesh! We noted a mature lady had perched herself up on the cliff in full view of all that lay below her. She was wearing clothes and a huge grin!

Was I tempted to go down there and unfrock myself? Of course! Imagine the beauty of simply baring all under Mother Natures fair gaze and letting oneself be at one with the elements. I bet it’s great! No doubt several of my kindly readers have partaken in naked outdoor activities and the beach is the obvious front runner. There is then the question of solo nakedness or group! In my own head I wonder does solo even count? Is part of the beauty here being naked with humanity?

I’m reminded of a recent incident in a leisure facility changing room where I was just drying myself off with a towel wrapped safely around my privates. A young chap came up to my side and proceeded to chat at length to me whilst remaining stark bollock naked. I maintained eye contact. Towards the end of his various monologues when he was clearly totally dry and now just chatting in the buff because he wanted to, he produced a spray, and I kid you not, bent over and sprayed it at length up his nether regions. Not only was this chap happy to be naked, but he was also a lunatic.

I guess many of us attach nudity in numbers with a kind of madness but in fact nudist activity is on the up, as it were! Naked art installations on gigantic scales for example! Marches too and even naked rambling. In dear Old conservative Blighty this kind of behaviour remains something for our European partners to more fully embrace. Perhaps too our weather makes it more problematic for the more obvious route to group nudity of bronzing purposes.

I just wonder though following on from my last blog if nakedness does hold the key to peace. In all seriousness you have to feel that if we were all in the buff would our world not be a safer place?

Peace, love and get your kit off!

Bombs

Bombs

You drop your bomb and I’ll drop mine! Killing one another is an age old problem. Wherever you look and pretty much that means literally wherever, killing others has been a weapon of choice. Trump retaliating tonight, if that’s how you view it, is another shot in the arm of hardware designed to frankly kill in large numbers with great devastation. Don’t forget this is ISIS we are dealing with and the awful deeds they take credit for. Something had to be done but as a United front surely, not the US world sheriff again?!

I have no answer. It just feels grim. Death for death, eye for eye, and based on what truth where this ever worked? The innocent always die and where is their ‘justice?’

I’ve been reading the excellent Robert Harris’s ‘Conclave’ this week and that throws interesting slants into why even the holy do what they do. In the name of your god you may well be doing things but I can almost guarantee I can find another god with another view.

Peace and live is what most of us want save the arms industry which craves the opposite doesn’t it? Our governments supply one side and another government supplies the other. It’s the United Nations of shit hitting the fan.

Hold your loved ones close tonight. That’s about as close to making a difference that many of us feel we can get!

Peace, love and befriend an opposite!
